Coming home to yourself

I am in the work of cultivating belonging. My practice centers first & second‑generation immigrants, women, creatives, and those of LGBTQ+ experience. Many who I work with have mastered ambition, perseverance, or survival. In therapy, they begin to long for something deeper—a shift from survival‑driven achievement to an embodied strength that creates space for every part of their being.

If this calls to you, you’re in the right place. My approach gently guides you to trust your intuition and unveil a softer space within—one that nurtures richer connection with yourself and those around you.

Ruby Minji Hwang

Pre-Licensed Psychotherapist

I understand the feeling of wanting change without knowing where to start—just that things can’t stay the same. That yearning to reach a place where everything feels different.

In my own journey, therapy has helped me build trust in myself and find deeper connection with both my inner and outer worlds. It has provided me with tools to navigate intergenerational wounds, release external pressures, and embrace the fullness of who I am.

The most groundbreaking realization for me was that there was nothing "wrong" with me. From there, the work became one of rediscovery, rather than of fixing.

By tapping into the innate wisdom of the body, I guide clients to ease into the work from a place of curiosity. Neuroplasticity reminds us that our minds and bodies are always striving for healing. I see the therapeutic space as a vessel for what’s already happening within to rise to the surface.

I support individuals & couples on themes including:

anxiety | perfectionism | identity exploration | codependence | complex & generational trauma | family dynamics | life transitions | women’s spirituality | grief & loss
